Resistance Training with Specificity

Train your exact golf swing with extra aerodynamic resistance using Swingplates™! Train every muscle used in the golf swing in the exact movement pattern and sequence of your swing. There is no other resistance training method that provides the same level of specificity for the golf swing. Resistance training with this level of specificity is the most effective way to improve the speed and strength of your golf swing.

Train Both Sides and Reduce Injuries

Complimenting your golf rounds and range sessions with Swingplates™ training will improve your speed, reduce injuries, and allow you to train your non-dominant side. The Swingplates™ Training Program focuses on training both your dominant and non-dominant sides. This develops coordination, strength, and balance on both sides, which allows you to become faster and reduce the likelihood of injuries. Swingplates™ allow you to train with maximum intensity at sub-maximum speeds. This reduces the likelihood of injuries compared to any other form of golf speed or strength training.

Swingplates™ are Superior to Overspeed Trainers

The speed of your golf swing is determined by a combination of the amount of force you produce and how quickly you apply that force over the specific movements that comprise your golf swing. There are several training aids on the market that are intended to increase your swing speed through overspeed training. The concept of overspeed training is to swing a lighter and/or more aerodynamic club faster than you are able to swing a regular golf club. This is supposed to improve how quickly you can apply forces. However, overspeed training does not provide the resistance required to also improve the amount of force you can produce.

Swingplates™ improves both the amount of force you can produce (i.e., your strength) and how quickly you can apply that force (i.e., your rate of force application). The strength improvement comes from training against extra aerodynamic resistance, which forces your muscles to adapt and become stronger. The rate of force improvement comes from training with intensity and specificity (i.e., training your golf swing), which forces your neuromuscular system to adapt and become more efficient over the specific movements that comprise your golf swing. This is why training with Swingplates™ is the most effective method to develop a faster and stronger golf swing!

Swingplates™ are Superior to Weighted-Club Trainers

The problem with swing training using a weighted-club is that the extra resistance provided by the extra weight is always in the downward direction due to gravity. Therefore, the extra resistance from a weighted-club is not opposite to the direction that the club is moving at any given time. For example, while your club is travelling forward through the impact zone, a weighted-club is not providing resistance that opposes this forward motion. Swingplates™ provide aerodynamic resistance that is always in the opposite direction that the club is moving. This allows you to develop strength along your entire swing, including through the impact zone! Swingplates™ are also extremely lightweight which means that your swing sequence and pattern remains unaltered throughout your training.

Swingplates™ are Superior to Other Aerodynamic Resistance Trainers

Swingplates™ provide more surface-area and therefore more aerodynamic resistance than any other training equipment. Swingplates™ are symmetrical around the golf shaft, which means that Swingplates™ do not influence your swing plane or clubface rotation. Swingplates™ therefore allow you to train your exact swing pattern and sequence with extra aerodynamic resistance. By stacking different arrangements of plates, Swingplates™ allow you to train with variable amounts of aerodynamic resistance. Swingplates™ also allow you to train with your own driver so that the length, grip, and feel of the club you train with is the same as the club you play with on the golf course.
